Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with Mikhail Shvydkoy, a special representative of the Russian President on international cultural cooperation, who is visiting our country to participate in the VI World Intercultural Dialogue Forum.

Axar.az was informed about this by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.

Bilateral and multilateral cooperation issues between Azerbaijan and Russia, preparations for the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), as well as the current regional situation, were discussed at the meeting.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov expressed satisfaction with the Russian side's active participation and contribution to prestigious international events organized in Azerbaijan, including the VI World Intercultural Dialogue Forum.

It was pointed out that the existing high-level dialogue between the leaders of the two countries, as well as intensive contacts, gave impetus to the development of relations. The importance of continuing the existing bilateral cooperation within regional and international formats was emphasized.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, speaking about the work done within the framework of Azerbaijan's chairmanship of COP29, pointed out that new opportunities for cooperation in this direction have arisen.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, who informed the other side about the current regional situation in the post-conflict period, including the process of normalization between Azerbaijan and Armenia, pointed out that the latest agreement reached between the delimitation commissions is a very positive progress within the framework of the peace agenda. In this direction, the official stressed that Baku is determined to achieve real results on all elements of the normalization process.

Special representative Mikhail Shvydkoy noted that there are wide prospects for cooperation between the two countries, especially in the fields of education, culture, technology, and innovation, and the importance of joint action in this direction.

During the meeting, other issues of mutual interest were also exchanged.
