Within the framework of the "Year of Solidarity for the Green World", the next tree-planting action was held in Baku on November 22 with the participation of Leyla Aliyeva, vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of the IDEA Public Union.

Axar.az reports that 1,000 Eldar pine trees were planted during this campaign with the participation of IDEA volunteers and appropriate improvement works were carried out in the area. In order to effectively water the trees and prevent water wastage, a drip irrigation system is planned to be used in the said area.

Today, the air layer in Baku is polluted with waste generated during automobile transport, production and consumption activities, dust and other foreign substances in the air harm human health and the entire ecological balance. The establishment of forest strips and greening activities have a positive effect on restoring the ecological balance and improving air quality.

IDEA Public Union brings the importance of environmental protection to the attention of people, especially the young generation, by regularly organizing such environmental actions, and calls them to joint action in the fight against environmental problems. When citizens encounter cases of illegal tree cutting, they can send their complaints and suggestions to the IDEA Public Union through the 1113 hotline from city or mobile phones.

It should be noted that "1113 - Nature's emergency" hotline and mobile group in 2014, on the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva, vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of IDEA Public Union, "No to cutting down trees!" was created within the framework of the program. Measures have been taken based on the complaints of thousands of citizens who have entered the said hotline.
