Azerbaijan to apply new driving rules

Azerbaijan is set to change the rules of driving vehicles on categories CE, D, and DE.


The parliamentary committee on legal policy and state building is discussing making amendments to Article 33 of the traffic rules.


A proposed amendment to Article 33 has been discussed. According to the amendment, the minimum age limit for BE category drivers is 19 and the minimum experience in driving B category vehicles one year, the minimum age limit for CE category drivers is 21 and the minimum experience in driving C category vehicles three years, the minimum age limit for D category is 23 (upper limit 65) and the minimum experience in driving five years.

According to another amendment, the minimum age limit for DE category drivers is 26 (upper limit 65) and the minimum experience in driving D category vehicles three years.


The amendments have been recommended to the parliament’s plenary meeting.
