Azerbaijan-NATO partnership discussed at key meeting

A meeting was held between the Head of the Azerbaijani Mission to NATO, Jafar Huseynzade, and NATO Deputy Secretary General, Radmila Shekerinska.

Axar.az reports that a productive discussion was held at the meeting on the Azerbaijan-NATO partnership within the Partnership for Peace (PfP) program, Azerbaijan's contribution to NATO-led peace support operations, as well as Europe's energy security.

The parties also discussed the indispensable role of Azerbaijan's transport infrastructure on the world's transport map and current developments in the region.

During the meeting, the cooperation in 2024, which coincided with the 30th anniversary of the Azerbaijan-NATO partnership, was highly appreciated, and views were exchanged on prospects for cooperation for 2025.
