The next batch of humanitarian aid for Ukraine from Azerbaijan has been sent.

Axar.az report the humanitarian aid intended for Ukraine has been dispatched from the Sumgayit Technology Park.

It was noted that, based on a decree by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev dated February 2025, one million U.S. dollars were allocated for the organization of this aid. The first part of the aid was sent on February 7, 2025.

Under this decree, the humanitarian cargo, which has been sent in two shipments, includes more than 52,000 meters of electrical cables and wires, as well as 17 transformers.

Based on a request from Ukraine, these supplies are intended to restore the stable electricity supply in areas affected by the war.

It should be noted that, due to the current situation, the total amount of reconstruction and humanitarian aid provided by Azerbaijan to Ukraine has exceeded 40 million U.S. dollars. To date, the aid has included 134 transformers, transformer substations, nearly 70 generators, and approximately 3.4 million meters of electrical cables and wires.
