The mines placed by Armenia in Azerbaijani territories continue to pose a threat to innocent people.

Axar.az reports that this idea was expressed in the X account of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) in a post about a mine explosion in the Ulubaba village of the Khojaly region.

It is noted that another civilian was injured as a result of a mine explosion in the Khojaly region, and the number of victims since the end of the 2020 war has reached 383.

The incident site is further evidence of Armenia's mine-laying activities far and wide from the former line of contact since 2020.

Considering the significant negative humanitarian impact and the fact that persistent mine contamination poses a problem for peace and reconciliation efforts, Azerbaijan hopes for adequate political and practical support from the international community in its mine clearance efforts.
