An employee of the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) has stepped on a landmine in the Jabrayil region.
Axar.az reports this information shared by the agency on social media, the incident occurred in the Mehdili village area of Jabrayil.
The agency’s employee, 1991-born Heydar Ali oglu Khankishiyev, was carrying out his duties when a landmine explosion occurred. His right foot's heel was amputated.
The injured employee has been evacuated to the district hospital. His condition is stable.

On April 6, a landmine explosion occurred in the Galaycilar village area of Aghdam district.
According to reports from Azerbaijan's Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Prosecutor General's Office, and ANAMA's Press Service, the incident took place in the newly-liberated Galaycilar village area of Aghdam on April 6, 2025.
The report states that 1983-born Sabuhi Elman oglu Mammadov, a resident of Galaycilar, entered a mine-uncleared area and was injured by an anti-personnel mine explosion. He was immediately evacuated to the hospital.
The Aghdam district prosecutor’s office has opened an investigation into the incident.
"ANAMA, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Prosecutor General's Office are once again urging citizens to follow safety guidelines, be cautious of mine danger signs, and avoid entering unfamiliar areas," the report stressed.
Three people were injured in a landmine explosion in the Galaycilar village of Aghdam district.
The information was released by TABIB (Management Union of Medical Territorial Units).
It was reported that the injured individuals (two males and one female) were hospitalized at the Emergency Department of Barda District Central Hospital.
Sebuhi Elman oglu Mammadov, born in 1983, was diagnosed with a traumatic amputation of the right ankle joint and is scheduled for surgery. His condition is currently assessed as serious.
Deniz Sebuhi gizi Mammadova, born in 2012, sustained shrapnel wounds to both legs and the chest. Elmar Sebuhi oglu Mammadov, born in 2014, suffered shrapnel wounds to both legs, the front of the abdomen, and the left arm. Their treatment is ongoing, and their conditions are reported as stable.
