Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has called on the international community to take action following a landmine explosion.
Axar.az reports the statement was shared on the Ministry’s official social media account.
"Today, as a result of another landmine explosion, 4 Azerbaijani citizens, including young children were severely injured.
Since the 2020-war, 392 people have been either killed or injured due to landmine contamination by Armenia.
We call upon international community to recognize urgency of mine action, to stand with Azerbaijan in its ongoing demining efforts, as well as to hold Armenia accountable for the deliberate and widespread landmine contamination, which continue to endanger innocent lives and hinder post-conflict recovery," the statement reads.
