A meeting was held at the Media Development Agency under the leadership of Hikmat Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan - Head of the Department of Foreign Policy Issues of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

It was reported that the meeting was attended by the Executive Director of the Media Development Agency, members of the Supervisory Board, heads of television channels, information agencies, and several leading print and online media entities.

During the meeting, Hikmat Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan - Head of the Department of Foreign Policy Issues of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, said that as a result of the reforms implemented under the leadership of Mr. President, today the media, as an active participant in the progress of Azerbaijan and the process of building a modern society, has expanded its international relations and influence in the global information space, and increased its competitiveness. He drew attention to the role of the media in socio-political and cultural life, its role in the development of culture and enlightenment, and noted that the same functions should be established in the future following the requirements of the new era, emphasized the importance of information security in the context of digital transformation, and shared his views on state-media relations and current issues of the media.

Executive Director of the Media Development Agency Ahmad Ismayilov spoke about the Agency's activities, the measures taken, the results of the reforms carried out in the media sector, and the prospects for the development of the sector.

During the discussions, it was noted that within the framework of the 150th anniversary of the National Press, it is planned to organize various international and local events, implement development programs in partnership with well-known foreign media entities, as well as implement other projects aimed at informing the society in this direction, embodying the history and present of the Azerbaijani press.

During the meeting, the proposals of media leaders were listened to, and a mutual exchange of views was held on the future development of the media sector and modern challenges.
