TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov once again demonstrated disrespect towards Azerbaijan with his own prejudice and hysterical behavior in an author's program broadcast on the Russian state television channel "Rossiya 1".

Axar.az was informed about this by the Media Development Agency (MEDIA).

It was reported that the presenter, who defended his close friend, Russian businessman of Armenian origin Samvel Karapetyan, who law enforcement agencies in Armenia detained, used the phrase "Artsakh" several times, accused the Armenian authorities of "giving Artsakh as a gift", and directly addressed the Armenian people during a live broadcast, saying that "the fate of Artsakh awaits them in the future."

Vladimir Solovyov, who distorted real historical facts and treated the processes that took place in the recent past with prejudice, has always harbored resentment and hatred towards Azerbaijan, and this attitude was manifested in his speeches. V. Solovyov's statements at various times regarding the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict, the 44-day Patriotic War, and the full restoration of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity and sovereignty have always been biased, contradictory, and have caused adequate reactions in Azerbaijan.

The fact that such destructive claims were broadcast on the Russian state television channel is worrying, is considered unacceptable towards our people, and is completely contrary to the spirit of friendly relations between our countries and Russia's official position on the issue.

We consider this hate speech, which is incompatible with journalistic ethics and moral values, unacceptable, strongly condemn it, and expect the other side to apologize.
