Bayern Munich: Perisic joins on loan from Inter

Germany's Bayern Munich officially announced that the club signed Croatian International Ivan Perisic on a one-year loan from the Serie A giants Inter on Tuesday.

Axar.az reports citing Turkish media.

Bayern Munich also have an option to buy Perisic from the Italian club.

''The 30-year-old World Cup runner-up joins Bayern from Inter Milan with immediate effect. The two clubs have agreed a one-year loan deal until 30 June 2020, with the option for FC Bayern to sign the player on a permanent deal after that,'' the German club said in a statement.

"Ivan will help us from the start with his extensive experience at a top international level. He has good technique and he’s flexible in attack. I’m sure Ivan will settle in quickly as he knows both the Bundesliga and our coach Niko Kovac well," Bayern Munich Sporting Director Hasan Salihamidzic said.

Perisic made appearances for Bundesliga clubs Wolfsburg and Borussia Dortmund before joining Inter.

He won the Bundesliga title and the German Cup with Borussia Dortmund in 2012.

Perisic also lifted the German Cup with Wolfsburg in 2015.

The 30-year-old winger signed a five-year contract with Inter in 2015.

He scored 40 goals in 163 games for the Italian club.

Perisic was a part of the Croatia squad during the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

Croatia were the runners-up in the tournament where they lost to France 4-2 in the final.

He produced 23 goals in 82 games for his nation.
