Jeff Bezos made his first flight into space

The capsule, carrying Amazon CEO, billionaire Jeff Bezos and three other passengers, landed safely near the Texas spaceport after a New Shepard rocket (named after one of the first US astronauts, Alan Shepard).

Axar.az reports that the whole flight was in automatic mode and lasted less than 11 minutes.

It is estimated that a few minutes after launch, the reusable rocket rose to a height of 40 km, and the passenger capsule was detached from it.

The capsule, separated from its carrier, crossed the conventional boundary of space, the Karman limit - 100 km.

In addition to Bezos, the capsule was accompanied by his brother Mark, 82-year-old female pilot Ollie Funk and 18-year-old Oliver Daemen.
