YouTube bans unapproved gambling promotions

YouTube has introduced new rules restricting the promotion of online gambling sites.

Axar.az reports that the platform prohibits mentioning the names, displaying logos, and sharing links of gambling services that Google does not approve.

The company stressed that this step is significant to protect young viewers.

However, the new rules do not cover sports betting sites. Sponsorship contracts of sports betting platforms such as ESPN BET remain safe. YouTube will also age-restrict all gambling-related content and will use artificial intelligence to assess the age of users.
