Well-known Russian journalist and public figure Maxim Shevchenko has been detained during an unsanctioned rally by supporters of Alexei Navalny in the Tatarstan capital, Kazan.

Axar.az reports that this was reported by the Russian NTV channel.

He was released after law enforcement officers checked his documents. Protests were held in the Russian capital and other major cities today.
