Iranian journalist Farnaz Fashihi shared footage of Iranian citizens standing in long queues to go to Armenia.
Axar.az reports that the images shared by the journalist on his social network account show that the Iran-Armenia border checkpoint is overcrowded, and people are waiting in long queues for hours.
The journalist said that the reason for all this is the desire of Iranians to vaccinate against COVID-19. Claiming that the "fifth wave" has already begun in Iran, that there is serious panic as a result of the government's bad policy, and that vaccination is not normal, the journalist said that Iranians were forced to go to Armenia for the vaccine.
One of the videos shows Iranians celebrating in the open air, organizing a disco and having fun. The journalist claimed that these people "celebrate" their vaccinations.
It should be noted that Armenia itself is not in a heartbreaking place in vaccination, and in terms of population, this country is in the most deplorable place in the world in terms of infection and death statistics.
Iran has been vaccinating since February. Along with Russian, Chinese and British vaccines, the country's own Cov Iran Barakat vaccine has been introduced in the country since June 12.
