The 3rd conference of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Parliamentary Network was held in Geneva, Switzerland.

Axar.az reports that 53 delegations representing the parliaments of the member countries, international organizations and non-governmental organizations participated in the event chaired by the Chairperson of the Milli Majlis and Parliamentary Network Sahiba Gafarova.

Director of the Baku Initiative Group (BIG) Abbas Abbasov and member of the Board of the BIG, former member of the European Parliament, and Secretary General of the People's Union for the Independence of Guadeloupe Jean-Jacob Bicep also participated in the conference.

Speaking at the event, J-J.Bicep spoke about the activities of the Baku Initiative Group, which he represented, emphasized that it supports the decolonization process for the peoples living under colonialism, and expressed his gratitude to the Azerbaijani side in particular.

J-J. Bicep highlighted the colonialism policy of France today and said that as a result of this policy of the French government, the people living under colonial rule are facing serious climate problems. He demanded France to bear its responsibility as a colonial country and to put an end to illegalities.

It should be recalled that the NPT was established by the participants of the conference "Towards the complete elimination of colonialism" in Baku on July 6, 2023, within the framework of the ministerial meeting of the Coordination Bureau of the Non-Aligned Movement chaired by Azerbaijan. The activity of BTQ is to provide continuous support to the peoples suffering from colonialism and neo-colonialism, which continues in the world in the 21st century, in their just struggle.
