Russian invading forces have begun using new drones in their attacks against Ukraine, specifically, jet-powered "Shaheds."

Axar.az reports that this information was shared by electronic warfare and intelligence expert Sergey Beskrestnov on his Telegram channel.

He stated that Ukrainians are now hearing a new sound:

"My dear Ukrainians, unfortunately, we will now become familiar with a new nighttime sound—the sound of the jet-powered Shahed. It’s not widespread yet, but it has been heard for two nights in a row."

According to him, these jet-powered Shaheds are Russia’s response to the success of Ukraine’s air defense drones:

“There is currently no information about how many of these drones will be used in the coming months,” he added.
