Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko will not run for another presidential term.

Axar.az reports that Lukashenko himself announced the decision.

He stated that he currently has no such plans.

Lukashenko noted that he is younger than U.S. President Donald Trump and in good physical condition:

"Trump will soon be 80 and looks good. I’m an athletic person and try to live that kind of lifestyle. He doesn't drink — I don't drink either. He doesn't smoke — neither do I. I think, in terms of health, I may not fall behind him, although our opposition tries to bury me every month. Trump — he's a bulldozer, a stallion. I will try to be even stronger than Trump."

It should be noted that Lukashenko will turn 71 on August 30.
