Erdogan, Abbas discuss Gaza and ceasefire efforts

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan spoke by phone with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.

Axar.az reports, citing Turkish media, that Erdogan told Abbas during the call that Israel’s plan to bring Gaza under full military control is unacceptable.

He stressed that Turkiye is continuing its diplomatic efforts to secure a ceasefire in the region, values statements in the West recognizing Palestine, and noted that criticism of Israel is increasing.
