The Alaska meeting was organized after the Russian president requested a meeting with Trump.

Axar.az reports that White House spokeswoman Karolina Levitt said this at a briefing.

In response to the question, “Why was Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky not invited to the meeting between Putin and Trump in Alaska?” the White House official said:

“President Trump agreed to the meeting after Vladimir Putin’s request.”

It should be noted that the meeting will be held on August 15 in Alaska.
