Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a powerful video message to the Iranian people, pledging Israel’s assistance in resolving Iran’s severe water crisis once the country is liberated from the “tyrants of Tehran.”
Axar.az reports that addressing Iranians from Jerusalem, Netanyahu criticized Iran’s leadership for their failed governance, highlighting a recent statement by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian admitting, “We have problems with water, electricity, money, and inflation – where don’t we have a problem? There won’t be any water in the dams by September or October.”
Netanyahu called the situation “collapsing” and sharply contrasted it with Israel’s water management success, noting that Israel “recycles 90% of its wastewater” and leads in desalination technology.
Netanyahu recalled his efforts to help Iranians with water knowledge via a Farsi Telegram channel that attracted 100,000 followers, saying, “The thirst for water in Iran is only matched by the thirst for freedom.” He promised that once Iran is free, “Israel’s top water experts will flood into every Iranian city bringing cutting-edge technology and know-how,” envisioning “restored lakes, flowing rivers, and rejuvenated parks,” including “water skiing again in the Karaj Dam” and “restoring the once stunning Urmia Lake.”
He accused Iran’s leaders of “imposing tyranny and poverty” by diverting “hundreds of billions of dollars to Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis instead of funding domestic needs,” and condemned those who “flee the country while you suffer alone during a difficult war.”
Netanyahu called on Iranians to “take to the streets” and “protest tyranny,” urging them to “demand justice and accountability” and declaring, “You are not alone. Israel stands with you. The entire free world stands with you.”
He concluded by invoking Theodor Herzl’s famous words: “If you will it, it is no dream,” adding, “If you will it, a free Iran is no dream. Now is the time for action. Now is the time to fight for freedom.”
