The Spanish Foreign Ministry has recalled its ambassador to Tel Aviv for consultations.

Axar.az reports that this came after the Jewish state's Foreign Minister Gideon Saar accused the Spanish government of anti-Semitism over new measures against ships and planes heading to Israel due to the war in Gaza.

Saar also stated that the government was using these measures to distract public attention from corruption scandals.
