Negotiations are underway on a security agreement with Syria, and an agreement is likely.

Axar.az reports that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said this during his speech at the UN General Assembly.

"I believe that there can be an agreement that respects Syria's sovereignty and ensures the security of both Israel and minorities in the region," Netanyahu said.
