NATO is ready to defend its territory from any Russian invasion, but the military alliance does not plan to escalate the conflict with Moscow.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by German Foreign Minister Johann Wadeful.

"Our countries are not interested in escalation, but Russia may want to trap us. Therefore, we are ready to defend our territory. Russia should know that it will not have a chance to defeat us," Wadeful stressed.

He also received a warning from Germany and the country's allies that Russia could attack NATO territory by the end of 2030.
