Fidan: Russia, Ukraine must find common ground

Russia and Ukraine are pressuring each other and even showing that they could continue the war.

Axar.az reports that Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said this in an interview with TRT Haber.

“The fighting between the two countries has intensified, leading to more deaths and destruction. Russia and Ukraine need to be brought to a common ground. The main issue concerns the territories in Donetsk occupied by Russia, as Russia wants to advance further, while Ukraine refuses to accept the current situation. Discussions are also underway regarding the use of frozen assets for Ukraine, which has sparked disagreements among countries.

As our President has said from the beginning, this war must end immediately. This absurd war has unacceptable conditions for both sides. But it needs to be resolved through a formula. That formula has already been developed. We are very close, and I hope it will end,” the minister said.
