Kazakh President warns of Caspian Sea’s decline at OTS Summit

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has said that the declining water level of the Caspian Sea is negatively affecting the region.

Axar.az informs Tokayev made the remarks during his speech at the 12th Summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) held in Gabala today.

“The drop in the Caspian Sea’s water level has an adverse impact on the region, harms the economy, and disrupts ecological balance. This issue also affects the cultural heritage of the peoples of the region, as the Caspian Sea is an integral part of their history and culture. Therefore, the member states of the Organization of Turkic States are urged to strengthen joint efforts to address this problem,” he said.
