Orban: Good that Ukraine separates Hungary and Russia

It’s a good thing there’s a territory currently called Ukraine between Hungary and Russia.

Axar.az reports that this statement was made by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

Orban said that Hungary’s strategic—but not geopolitical—interest lies in Ukraine’s existence.

In addition, Orban named three countries he does not wish Hungary to share a border with:

“We don’t want to border Germany, because that has already happened and ended badly. Fortunately, Austria and the Czech Republic are between us. We also don’t want to border Russia, because that too has already happened — we shared a border with the Soviet Union. And we don’t want to border the Turks either, because that has also happened."
