Kazakhstan to castrate child sex offenders before release

Kazakhstan’s Minister of Health has issued an order amending the decree “On the approval of rules for applying compulsory medical measures.”

Axar.az informs under the new regulations, individuals convicted of crimes against the sexual integrity of minors will undergo chemical castration six months before their release from prison.

The document also sets out the procedure for implementing this compulsory medical measure.
