Second man arrested in UK police probe of mosque blaze

A second man has been arrested over an arson attack on a mosque in East Sussex.

Axar.az informs, citing BBC, the building in Phyllis Avenue, Peacehaven, was badly damaged by the fire at about 21:50 BST on Saturday. Nobody was injured.

On Tuesday police arrested a 25-year-old man of no fixed address on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life.

A 46-year-old man from Littlehampton arrested on Monday afternoon, also on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life, has been released on bail.

"Sussex Police takes a zero-tolerance approach to hate crime and there is no place for hate across the county," Superintendent Rachel Swinney said in a statement.
