Azerbaijan sets record at 3rd CIS Games

Azerbaijan concludes the 3rd CIS Games with record-breaking results.

Axar.az reports that the final competitions of the 3rd CIS Games hosted by Azerbaijan have come to an end.

On the last day of the event, Azerbaijani athletes competing in rhythmic gymnastics in Shaki won a total of six medals.

With this success, Azerbaijan finished the Games with 184 medals in total — 33 gold, 56 silver, and 95 bronze — securing second place in the overall standings. Russia claimed first place in the tournament.

Thus, Azerbaijani athletes achieved their best-ever performance in the history of the CIS Games, which have been held since 2021. The country previously earned 60 medals (16 gold, 16 silver, 28 bronze) in the first edition and 62 medals (10 gold, 17 silver, 35 bronze) in the second.
