Israeli hostages may be released as early as Saturday

Israel and Hamas are expected to sign a Gaza ceasefire and hostage release deal on Thursday, with hostages possibly freed as early as Saturday.

Axar.az, citing Reuters, reports that the agreement marks the first stage of U.S. President Donald Trump’s peace plan aimed at ending the devastating Gaza war.

The deal includes a partial Israeli troop withdrawal within 24 hours of signing and aims to halt a conflict that has drawn in Iran, Lebanon, and Yemen.

Both Israelis and Palestinians celebrated the news, though analysts warned of potential challenges in implementing the plan.

Prime Minister Netanyahu called the deal a “diplomatic success,” while Trump hailed it as a step toward a “strong and everlasting peace.”
