Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi said that the world is witnessing a historic moment reflecting the triumph of the will for peace over the logic of war.
Axar.az, citing Al-Qahera News, reports that in a statement posted on his official Facebook page on Wednesday, President el-Sisi announced that a ceasefire agreement in Gaza has been reached, ending the war after two years of suffering.
The deal was achieved under the peace plan proposed by President Trump and brokered by Egypt, Qatar, and the United States.
He explained that the Gaza agreement does not merely close the chapter of war but opens a door of hope for the peoples of the region toward a future of justice and stability.
The Gaza ceasefire came into force at noon today following indirect talks held in Sharm el-Sheikh since last Monday between delegations from Palestinian factions and the Israeli delegation, with international participation.
The negotiations included high-level representatives from the mediating nations — most notably Egyptian Intelligence Chief General Hassan Rashad, Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Turkish Intelligence Chief Ibrahim Kalin, Israeli Strategic Affairs Minister and delegation head Ron Dermer, and U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.
