EU: Serbia won’t join until it adopts sanctions on Russia

Serbia will not join the European Union until it joins Brussels' sanctions against Russia.

Axar.az reports that this was stated in a resolution adopted by the European Parliament today.

The resolution addresses the issue of political violence and repression against the opposition in Serbia, where protests against corruption and electoral fraud have been ongoing for a year. The European Parliament condemned this repression and the use of force against protesters.

In addition, the parliament, while supporting the right of Serbian students and citizens to peaceful protest, calls for democratic reforms in the country.
