The meeting with Sahiba Gafarova in Switzerland was very warm. It was a very positive event, the parties expressed their readiness to prepare the public of both countries for a peaceful life.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by the Speaker of the Armenian Parliament, Alen Simonyan, in his statement on the results of the meeting with his Azerbaijani counterpart, Sahiba Gafarova.

According to him, the meeting touched upon the issue of Armenian prisoners, as well as the possibility of a new escalation:

“Gafarova called this an impossible scenario, because Azerbaijan has taken on many international obligations. I also asked the Azerbaijani side why it used the word corridor. Gafarova said that there is nothing wrong with this word; they would also like the corridor to pass through Azerbaijan. As for the word Zangezur, she said that this area is called that, and that is why they call it that. Gafarova assured that in many statements, it is called the “Trump Road” (TRIPP). I think this is just a difference in rhetoric.”
