Zelensky says he may meet Trump again on June 17

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he expects to hold another meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday during the G7 summit in France.

Axar.az reports, speaking to Ukrainian broadcaster Suspilne, Zelensky said the two countries’ teams would continue talks at various levels over the next day.

“I think we will meet with the President again tomorrow,” Zelensky said. “Our teams will meet at different levels throughout the day. There are many important technical meetings.”

Earlier, Zelensky said he held separate talks with Trump on the sidelines of the G7 summit and discussed strengthening Ukraine’s air defense capabilities, including additional missiles and production licenses.

The G7 summit, held from June 15-17, is focused on issues including efforts to end Russia’s war against Ukraine and other international security challenges.
