Putin to meet Turkish FM Fidan on June 17

Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan in Moscow on the evening of June 17.

Axar.az reports that Yuri Ushakov, an aide to the Russian president, said that Fidan, who is visiting Moscow, requested a meeting with the Russian leader himself, and the request was approved.

“This request will be granted. Our president will receive the Turkish foreign minister tomorrow evening, at approximately 8 p.m.,” Ushakov said.

Fidan arrived in Moscow at the invitation of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. During his visit, he held talks with Lavrov, where the sides discussed bilateral and international issues. Fidan also expressed Turkiye’s readiness to assist in resolving the Ukraine conflict and provide a platform for negotiations if it contributes to achieving peace.
