Russia seeks peace, not a ceasefire, in Ukraine conflict

Russia wants peace, not a ceasefire, to resolve the Ukrainian conflict.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by the Russian President's press secretary, Dmitry Peskov.

According to him, Kyiv's talk of a referendum on the territorial issue can be considered as an excuse to achieve a breakthrough on the front, and Moscow does not agree with this.

"We want to work for peace, not a ceasefire. A ceasefire is another deception. We need peace," Peskov stressed.
