Ukraine hit Russian weapons ships in Caspian Sea

The Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, together with the Russian resistance movement Chernaya Iskra (Black Spark), carried out an operation in the Caspian Sea, as a result of which two Russian tankers were hit, according to the Special Forces' press service.

Axar.az informs, citing RBC-Ukraine, it is noted that as a result of the special operation, Special Operations Forces operators struck two Russian vessels in the Caspian Sea near the coast of the Republic of Kalmykia that were transporting weapons and military equipment.

The Russian cargo vessels that were hit were Kompozitor Rakhmaninov and Askar-Saridzha. Russia uses both ships for military purposes, and they are under US sanctions, as they were involved in supplying military cargo between Iran and Russia.
