Storm warning issued for Caspian Sea

The Ship Traffic Management Center of the State Maritime and Port Agency (SMPAA) warns ships about stormy weather conditions.

Axar.az reports that Parvana Imanova, the press secretary of the Agency's Public Relations Service, gave this information.

According to the warning, the northwest and north winds observed in the Caspian Sea from the evening of December 13 will continue until the daytime hours of the 14th.

During these days, the northwest and north winds are expected to strengthen to 18-23 m/s, occasionally to 28-33 m/s, and in the open sea to 35-38 m/s.

The wave height is predicted to reach 3.0-4.0 m, and in further development to 5.5-7.5 m.
