The United States is not ready to recognize the independence of Somaliland (located in the Horn of Africa, de jure an autonomous region within Somalia but de facto an independent state – ed.).

Axar.az reports that US President Donald Trump said this.

“Everything is being studied. We will work on this issue. We are working on many things, and I am making major decisions. These are the right decisions. Does anyone really have information about Somaliland?” Trump added.

It should be noted that yesterday Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that his country recognizes Somaliland as an “independent and sovereign state.”
