China launched large-scale live-fire military exercises around Taiwan on Monday, deploying warships, fighter jets, artillery, and troops in drills dubbed “Justice Mission 2025.”

Axar.az, citing Reuters, reports that the exercises, led by the PLA’s Eastern Theatre Command, include simulated strikes, port blockades, and encirclement of the island, and are set to continue through Tuesday.

Taiwan condemned the drills, mobilised its forces, and showcased U.S.-made weapons such as HIMARS rocket systems while putting its military on high alert.

The war games follow recent U.S. arms sales to Taiwan and rising regional tensions, with analysts warning that China’s exercises increasingly resemble preparations for a potential attack.
