Maduro to be taken to New York, appear in court

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro is to be brought to an airport near New York.

Axar.az reports, citing Sky News and several officials, that Maduro is planned to undergo official registration procedures in New York and then be transferred to the Metropolitan Detention Center.

According to U.S. officials, the Venezuelan president is expected to appear in court no later than the evening of Monday, January 5.

It should be noted that yesterday the U.S. military carried out strikes on Caracas and captured President Maduro and his wife, taking them to the United States.
