Greenland could be better protected by the United States.

Axar.az reports that White House spokeswoman Anna Kelly said this in a statement to CNN.

"President Trump believes that Greenland is a place of strategic importance from a national security perspective, and he is confident that the interests of Greenlanders will be better protected if the United States protects them from modern threats in the Arctic region," the spokesperson said.

She added that the President is committed to establishing long-term peace both at home and abroad.

It should be noted that today, European leaders issued a joint statement on the fact that Greenland belongs to Denmark and supports this country.
