Customs clarifies the 8,000 coffins rumor

The news spread on social networks about the import of 8 thousand coffins from China to Azerbaijan has been clarified.

Axar.az reports that the State Customs Committee stated that 8 thousand wooden clothespins were imported into the country. However, due to a technical error in the description of the goods and code 2 in the customs declaration, they were not registered as clothespins, but as coffins.

"When the goods "wooden clothespins" imported from the People's Republic of China were registered, the description of the goods and the first 4 digits of the XIF MN code were correctly recorded in the customs declaration, but a technical error was made at the next 5th and 6th digit level."

It was stated that the technical error was eliminated by making an appropriate amendment to the customs declaration.

It should be noted that the import of 8 thousand coffins from China to Azerbaijan raised questions among the public and caused widespread discussions.
