Avalanches halt traffic on Georgian military highway

Due to avalanches in Georgia, all vehicles have been suspended on the Military-Georgian Highway in North Ossetia.

Axar.az informs that the Russian Emergency Situations Directorate in North Ossetia reported.

“Taking into account the avalanches in Georgia, the impossibility of ensuring safe passage, and the recommendations of the Georgian border police, from January 11, 2026, at 05:20, the movement of all types of vehicles in the direction of exit from the Russian Federation is prohibited until further notice,” the statement said.
