Trump says US not putting troops in Middle East

U.S. President Donald Trump Thursday indicated that he is not considering deploying troops to the Middle East as the Iran conflict approaches its fourth week.

Axar.az reports, citing Reuters, that US President Donald Trump stated during a meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi at the White House.

"I'm not putting troops anywhere," Trump said in response to a reporter who asked whether he was planning to send more service members to the region. "If I were, I certainly wouldn't tell you. But I'm not putting troops. We will do whatever is necessary."
