A post expressing condolences over the passing of People's Poet Nariman Hasanzada has been shared on the social media accounts of President Ilham Aliyev.

"A great loss has befallen Azerbaijani culture. A prominent representative of modern Azerbaijani literature, Heydar Aliyev Prize laureate, recipient of the Presidential Scholarship of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Honored Art Worker, and People's Poet Nariman Alimammad oghlu Hasanzada passed away on August 1, 2026, at the age of 95.

A distinguished poet and playwright, respected public figure, and a sincere and humble man, Nariman Hasanzada will always be remembered by those who knew him."
