IDF strikes Iranian Navy in Caspian Sea for first time

The Israeli Air Force carried out strikes on Iranian Navy targets in the Caspian Sea on Wednesday night, marking the first such operation since the launch of Operation Roaring Lion.

Axar.az reports, citing JP, the attacks hit several key sites, including a major Iranian Navy port where dozens of ships were destroyed.

Among the most significant losses were four missile ships outfitted with air defense and anti-submarine capabilities, along with a corvette warship.

Additional targets at the port included a central command center for the Iranian Navy and facilities used to repair and maintain Iran's military vessels.

"Striking this infrastructure deepens the damage to the regime’s capabilities and undermines the Iranian Navy’s control over the maritime space in the Caspian Sea," the IDF stated.
