Araghci warns US will ‘bitterly regret’ attack on IRIS Dena

Abbas Araghchi, Foreign Minister of Iran, accused the United States of committing an “atrocity at sea” after an Iranian naval vessel was struck in international waters.

Axar.az reports Araghchi wrote on X that the Iranian frigate IRIS Dena, which had been a guest of the Indian Navy and was carrying about 130 sailors, was hit without warning about 2,000 miles from Iran’s shores.

"Mark my words: the U.S. will come to bitterly regret the precedent it has set,” he said.

It should be noted that the Iranian Navy frigate IRIS Dena was struck by a U.S. submarine off the coast of Sri Lanka.
