Pezeshkian and Sharif discuss regional security by phone

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian held a phone call with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

Axar.az informs during the conversation, Pezeshkian emphasized that Iran will not carry out attacks against neighboring countries. “The Islamic Republic of Iran has no intention of targeting or engaging in conflict with regional countries. It will only target bases from which attacks on our soil originate, within the framework of legitimate self-defense,” he said.

Sharif congratulated Pezeshkian and the Iranian people on the appointment of Mojtaba Khamenei as the country’s Supreme Leader and expressed the deep solidarity of the government and people of Pakistan with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
